The RCARA recognizes our current social challenges and individual isolation as the result of our alienation from our natural and spiritual environments.  These imbalances can be balanced by an artistic and spiritual-scientific engagement with artistic activity, our natural environment, and our social environment.  Leading all of our endeavors is an understanding that the source of both our natural and social environments is the spiritual world.  We promote artistic and spiritual-scientific activities that serve to heal our social ills and assist the development of the whole human being.

Mission:

The RCARA builds bridges of communication and understanding between individuals participating in the Arts and Sciences of Anthroposophy and shares the fruits of our work with our local community and our world.

Vision:

The RCARA visualizes a world that actively uses the ideas of cultural renewal as given by Rudolf Steiner.  We work to spread, support, and practice the spiritual-scientific methods of research and artistic training indications found in Anthroposophy.

Current and Planned Goals:

Develop and expand the possibilities for teaching Rudolf Steiner's painting training exercises to children and adults in schools and through workshops and conferences
Research and practice the artistic-scientific indications in the painted works of Gerard Wagner
Develop a plant colors preparation laboratory and handbook

Support the development of a new understanding and deeper relationship to the annual festivals with workshops and social events.
Create teacher instruction manuals for teaching painting to children in Grades 1-12.
Write and publish a quarterly newsletter for the festivals which focuses on the work of Gerard Wagner, Rudolf Steiner's painting impulse, and shares the work of schools and individuals who are working with this painting impulse.
