The Christ Impulse is a very powerful force and is too strong for most human CONSCIOUS relationships. Individuals striving for an understanding of Christianity today may have an unconscious or semi-conscious awareness; however, with help from the Heavenly Sophia and the cosmic intelligence released by the Archai Michael, then mediated through the Being Anthroposophia, human beings can ultimately achieve this spiritual relationship.
The Cosmic Intelligence, which is the creative world thoughts of the hierarchies, is the substance of the Heavenly Sophia, a being of the Spirits of Wisdom. This Intelligence was given to the Archai Michael, and he ministered it until it was time to release it to humanity. This was completed at the end of the 8th century AD. However, we can only fully receive the Intelligence when we have developed to the stage of the Consciousness Soul. This is the current activity and evolutionary stage of humanity today.

In the painting above, the human being is shown with the earthly helper, Anthroposophia. This Being mediates the Cosmic Intelligence flowing from the Heavenly Sofia through her son, an Archai, Michael. (Michael has ascended from the rank of an Archangel to that of an Archai.) It is Michael, the Countenance of the Christ in our time, who makes the Intelligence accessible to each individual who strives for a relationship with the Christ. This Intelligence pours forth like spiritual golden rain into all life on the earth.
The Christ waits for us, waits for us as a friend waits for this conscious relationship. From the Gospel of John 15:15: “No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his Master is doing; but I call you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you”. This ‘Father’ is the creator of the Cosmic Intelligence, and is the ground of the world.

Rudolf Steiner became the first person to receive the communion of the Michaelic intelligence in full consciousness from the spiritual chalice, given to him in the higher worlds by the heavenly Sophia through the supersensible being that serves her (Anthroposophia).
