PAINT LITTLE PLANT
This exercise is designed for children between the ages of six and nine. The method of painting is “wet in wet” and requires quality, transparent watercolor paints. In the “wet in wet” method, water colors are painted onto wet paper. The blending of the watercolors teaches the children how the different colors meet and make new colors. They learn how painting a color series leads to the formation of a nature scene naturally. Art and science meet in this method of painting. Each step is demonstrated by the teacher, and the children paint their pictures one step at a time.
Also contained in Exercise are examples of temperament paintings of the children.
The temperaments are living expression of the human soul in the physical body. It is important for teachers and parents to be able to recognize the temperaments of their children. See the e-Lesson on the TEMPERAMENTS for more information about this important subject. As we look at the paintings below, we can identify the qualities of the paintings that can show the child’s temperament.
