Workshops and Events sponsored by RCARA

Our annual event for 2015, The Metamorphosis of Plants that integrated the research of Goethe, the painting indications of Rudolf Steiner and the works of Gerard Wagner during the Festival of Whitsun, took place May 21 through 24, 2015 at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center near Austin, Texas.  If you are interested in learning more about our research in this area, please call or e-mail Diane Roman-Goldsberry, 956-756-0067, diane_roman@yahoo.com.

During the weekend of December 13, 14, 2014, RCARA once again sponsored a painting workshop in Austin, Texas to celebrate the Festival of Christmas.  We painted the Friedwart Madonna, a painting training motif from Rudolf Steiner.  The painters workded together on a group painting using the plant colors and then individual on their own paintings. It was a deep and holy time and a wonderful opportunity to develop and inward relationship to the colors.

The RCARA celebrated the Festival of Michael in Austin, Texas on September 27, 28 2014 with a painting workshop that focussed on Rudolf Steiner's motif, The MIDDLE MOTIF.
The MIDDLE MOTIF is the painted version of The Representative of Man.  We will work to balance the forces of light and dark, above and below in ourselves and in the painting process. Contact Diane Roman at ewschool2012@gmail.com or 956-756 0067 for more information.

During the weekend of December 21 and 22, 2013, the RCARA sponsored a painting workshop to celebrate the Festival of Christmas.  We painted a group painting of the Planetary Man Motif Saturday December 21st, the Winter Solstice. On Sunday December 22 we will paint another group painting, the New Life motif.  Both of these motifs were created by Rudolf Steiner.

In the Spring the RCARA hosted a weekend workshop for the Easter Festival 2014. We painted the Three-Fold Man, a motif from Rudolf Steiner. We painted this motif at the Peach Blossom Cottage of the Austin Waldorf School during the weekend of April 19 and 20, 2014.  Individuals interested in paintind workshops can contact us at the rcaraintexas@yahoo.com.

Summer Painting Conference
From June 21 to 27, 2014 the RCARA  sponsored a 7 day painting conference: THE PLANET TREES.   We used plant color paint pigments and painted one of the planet trees each day.  We began on Friday, June 21, the first day of summer.  During the conference we celebrated the Festival of St. John on June 24.  We will finish on Friday June 27th.
The conference was held at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center near Austin, Texas.  Before and after the painting sessions, the painters walked through the extensive grounds to observe the various planetary tree types.
At the end of the conference we chose 7 of the paintings for producing a Seven Day Planet Trees Calendar.

If you are interested in receiving a report about this conference, please contact us at rcaraintexas@yahoo.com. Planet Tree Weekday Calendars will be available for sale soon.
